Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Oakland County

St. Patrick’s Day is a Christian and Irish-American holiday, held every March 17. It was created to mark the death of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Modern celebrations honor Irish-American culture (food, dancing, music and folklore) public parties, parades and church services.

St. Patrick’s Day encourages friends and family to gather, have fun and wear green, so check out these events in Oakland County and Metro Detroit.
