Spring is here, so it’s time to bring out your camping gear!

Oakland County’s natural splendor is on full display at the 16 campsites, 62 swimming spots, and 100 fishing holes. From Ortonville State Recreation Area down to Haas Lake Park RV Campground, the perfect wilderness getaway is always close at hand.

If you are looking for lake access, the best fishing spots, cabin/yurt rentals or access to trails, you won’t have to look very far as most campgrounds in Oakland County have one or all of these options.

You can put your boat in the water or hike the trails for some daytime fun – then head in for a picnic dinner, games and a bonfire before you retire to your tent, or yurt.

Most of the campgrounds in Oakland County also have parking for RVs, if you prefer to camp with an RV over a tent. This allows recreational enthusiasts to camp at their comfort level, while enjoying all of the site’s amenities.
