Oakland County Skiing and Snowboarding at Pine Knob

One of three ski areas in Oakland County, Pine Knob welcomes skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels with 14 trail runs, six chairlifts, four rope tows, three terrain parks, and two wonder carpets. Brave the well-groomed 300 foot vertical, attend a lesson, or relax in the lodge. Pine Knob, “Motor City’s closest ski resort,” is a short drive away for hours of outdoor fun and excitement!

Located in Independence Township, Pine Knob is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturdays, and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sundays. Check out this video of their slopes before you visit:

Mt. Holly is one of three locations to ski and snowboard in Oakland County. The resort hosts 20 trail runs, seven chairlifts, four rope tows, two SunKid Wonder Carpets, and Southeastern Michigan’s only high-speed detachable chairlift. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels can discover fun at Mt. Holly, whether you’re searching for easier trail runs to try, terrain parks to style on, or expert level slopes to race your friends. Visit “where the north begins” and stay active during this chilly time of year.

One of three ski areas in Oakland County, Alpine Valley welcomes skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels to its 24 trail runs, nine chairlifts, four rope tows, and magic carpet. Beginners can brave easier hills, freestylers can perform tricks in four terrain areas, and advanced riders can race on the same slopes as Oakland County Olympians. Everyone will find an exciting and entertaining activity to have fun and stay active during this time of year at Alpine Valley!
