Celebrating Pride in Oakland County

Oakland County’s vision is to be a welcoming and thriving place where everyone is valued.

June gives us the opportunity to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising in June 1969 and the first Pride marches that occurred nationwide the following year.

Throughout the summer, many Oakland County communities host Pride events to celebrate authenticity and acceptance, while raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

Whether you identify as LGBTQ+ or are a family member/ friend, the following organizations connect communities and provide support.
