A 2.5-mile connector trail connects the main park to Addison Oaks-East and other nearby recreation areas. Bike and boat rental is available at the boathouse.

New this season is the Addison Oaks Solar System Trail, running along popular Buhl Lake, an inclusive trail featuring two scale model displays of the solar system.

Guests pause at the 10 individual planet stops as they walk along the 2.5-mile trail. At stops, QR codes link to NASA for additional information. Every stop features an interpretive sign and a three-dimensional planet scaled to size.

Addison Oaks offers train rides the weekends of Aug. 24 and Labor Day. The train schedule is staff dependent.

Groveland Oaks Campground

Groveland Oaks is a family camping park featuring a swimming beach, playscapes, an 18-hole mini golf course, skateboard park and paved hiking trails. The campground’s Little Library will be a hit with your summer reader!

The campground offers individual cabin, yurt and campsite rentals. Book your favorite campsite at Groveland Oaks Campground before Sept. 30. Call 248-634-9811 to make your advance reservations or book online today.

Groveland Oaks Campground offers rides on a train from 3-5 p.m. Saturdays through Labor Day. New this year is a caboose, perfect for those with mobility issues. Tickets are on sale up to fifteen minutes before the first ride.

Groveland souvenirs or camping-themed gifts? The Groveland Camp Store offers it all! Kids love to visit to pick out a fun toy or “Pucker Powder.” The store also carries firewood, ice and worms. Hours vary based on the week but always include Friday evenings and Saturdays.

Groveland’s shuffleboard court opened in early August and is already a big hit. All the equipment needed is at the court with convenient parking at the Beach Lot.
