For our furry friends, there’s nothing better than the freedom of open space to run, sniff and socialize. Have a tail-wagging time with your dog at one of many dog parks throughout Oakland County. Grab your leash, and use our interactive map or list to find a dog park near you.

Before heading out the door, consider these factors to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for you and your pup:
- Park Rules & Regulations: Familiarize yourself with the park’s leash policies, waste disposal procedures and any breed or size restrictions before your visit.
- Dog Etiquette: Watch your dog at all times. Make sure your dog is socialized and respectful to other dogs and people. Clean up after them.
- Health Concerns: Ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations. Don’t share water bowls and toys to reduce the spread of illnesses. Avoid giving treats to other dogs at the park without the owner’s permission because just like humans, pets have allergies too.
- Quiet Time: Know your dog’s temperament and build their confidence. If you have an unsocialized or anxious dog, consider visiting during less crowded times. This allows them to ease into the social environment without feeling overwhelmed.
