The Great Marshmallow Drop Returns March 29

Mark your calendars and prepare to attend one of the best events that spring has to offer hosted by Oakland County Parks! The Great Marshmallow Drop begins at 10 a.m. at Catalpa Oaks County Park in Southfield on Friday, March 29. Gather your loved ones to enjoy this free family-friendly event.

Kids of all ages are welcome to come out to experience pure joy and delight as 15,000 marshmallows are dropped from a helicopter. Drops will be done by age groups:

Children are encouraged to collect the marshmallows to turn them in for a treat bag. Only one marshmallow is needed to exchange for a treat bag at the prize tent. If you haven’t attended this event in the past, be sure to add it to your things-to-do list and enjoy a creative spin on traditional Easter egg hunts.

Two shifts are available from 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
