The Oakland County Parks and Recreation Great Marshmallow Drop is returning to Catalpa Oaks on Friday, March 25th at 10 a.m. In its 7th year, the free event brings families from all over the county to watch more than 15,000 marshmallows drop from a helicopter to awaiting children.
Putting a new twist on the Easter Egg hunt, children collect marshmallows to be traded in for a special prize packet. Only one marshmallow is needed to collect a prize! The marshmallows are divided and dropped three times to accommodate multiple age groups: ages 4 and younger, along with individuals with disabilities; ages 5 – 7; and ages 8 and older.
