Wave pools? River rides? The perfect way to beat the heat is right here in Oakland County. Slipping and sliding, playing and floating, Oakland County Parks and Recreation’s Waterparks are a hit with the family every time.
Red Oaks Waterpark and Waterford Oaks Waterpark feature the sort of must-see waterpark attractions that are guaranteed to excite the whole family.
Guests at Red Oaks ride the waves in the wave-action pool, head down a triple turn waterslide and get completely and utterly soaked at the soak station.
Like Red Oaks, Waterford Oaks also offers a wave pool adorned with palm trees near the shore. Waterford Oaks also features a tipping bucket in their ‘Big Bucket’ playground, complete with waterfalls and sprays.
Both waterparks take rafting to a new level. Guests can relax and float down the ‘River Ride’, a 990-foot long moving lazy river at Red Oaks, or hit the ‘Ragin’ Rapids’ at Waterford Oaks, a group raft ride that begins three stories high.

Kids get their pick of 68 water features at the soak station, including water jets, curtains, slides, bubbler jets, and a 6-foot tipping bucket.
Both parks provide areas for family picnics, as well as concessions. Dine under large umbrellas, canopies or even pavilions. Other amenities include a bathhouse complete with lockers, showers, bathrooms and changing area.
The waterparks are open to both county residents and the general public during the weekday and weekend, however, rates will vary. Guests can enjoy unlimited visits all summer with a Season Pass. Season passes are available to purchase at each park, and are only valid at the park they are purchased at and are per person prices. Oakland County residents can purchase tickets and season passes at a discounted rate.
