The 4th Annual Art Fish Fun Festival will be held on Saturday, June 10th, from 11am to 4pm in Beaudette Park, located at 786 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan. This free public event provides art and environmental educational activities for the entire family.
In recognition of River Day, the Art Fish Fun Festival was established to bring attention to the importance of preserving our environment. Free 2017 River Day T-Shirts will be given to the first 100 guests that enter the park. A special cleanup is scheduled from 11am to noon. Bags, gloves, and trash pickers will be provided for volunteers.
A free lunch will be provided beginning at noon. Offerings include BBQ ribs, chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and more!
Over thirty activities are scheduled for the day. Highlights include Fishing with Commissioner Jim Nash, a Michigan Mammals & Reptiles Exhibit, the Butterfly Mural, Native Plant Display, the Mini Festival, the Dirt Doctors, Face Painting, the Kid’s Workshop, Woodturning, and Painting with a Fish.
The festival is hosted annually by a collaborative community partnership consisting of private, public and non-profit stakeholders: the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office, Clinton River Watershed Council, The Art Experience, The City of Pontiac, and Pure Oakland Water.
