The 2016 camping season begins April 29 and closes October 16.

The campground at Addison Oaks features 174 campsites, plus group areas. Campsites are all modern with electricity and water on site. Average lot size is 50’x50′ accommodating just about any size rig. Check out all of the prices for the campgrounds here.

    • Four and six-person cabins
    • Six-person yurts
    • Six group camping areas (92 sites)
  • Amenities and Activities:
    • Swimming beach (swim at your own risk)
    • Ride the 35-foot tall and 180-foot long waterslide: Memorial Day-Labor Day (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays)
    • Boating, Fishing, Kayaking
    • Ball field, horseshoes pit, and sand volleyball courts
    • Children’s playgrounds
    • 24-hole Disc golf course
    • Hike more than 20 miles of trails including the 2.5-mile paved Buhl Lake Trail
    • Mountain biking (bike rentals available)

Groveland Oaks Campground has 269 modern sites with electrical and water hookups on site. Average lot size is 50’x50′, accommodating just about any size rig.

  • 369 total campsites, including:
    • Four and six-person cabins
    • Six-person yurts
    • 13 group camping areas (194 sites)
  • Amenities and Activities:
    • Swimming beach (open Memorial Day-Labor Day)
    • Spiraling waterslide splashes down into the lake
    • Fishing, kayaking, boating and pedal boating on Stewart Lake
    • Largest children’s playscape in the Oakland County Parks system; located near beach
    • Basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, ball fields
    • 18-hole mini golf course and skate park area
    • One-mile paved Thread Creek Trail
    • Campers Coupon Book – Sold at the contact station, the booklet contains vouchers for the park’s waterslide, boat rental, bike rental and mini golf.

Yurts, anyone?

Yurts are a unique camping option. Yurts are circular, spacious canvas-walled tents. Each yurt sleeps six and is furnished with two bunk beds, one double bed, night stand and mirror, small refrigerator and table and chairs. The yurt sites at Addison Oaks and Groveland Oaks also feature a fire circle, outside grill and a picnic table.

Just For Fun

An award-winning Campground Recreation Program keeps campers busy and entertained throughout the year. The Campground Recreation program includes crafts, games, music and more. Theme weekends, mobile recreation unit visits and live entertainment round out a program that includes something for everyone.

Youth Group Camping

Independence Oaks offers camping for organized youth groups only. Camp Wilderness features two organized youth group camping areas accommodating 60-100 campers. Platform tents, heated, modern bathhouse with showers and restrooms, camping amenities and more!
