Young entrepreneurs, community leaders, teachers, and anyone who has made significant contributions can be nominated for their good work.

Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson started the program in 2012 to honor young, dynamic leaders.

“We are blessed to have so many talented young people who are vital to Oakland County and the region,” Patterson said. “Their innovation, talent and energy will help shape our future for years to come. We’re looking for the best and the brightest. If you know one or more of these young men and women – or you want to nominate yourself – I encourage you to submit a name for consideration.”

Completed entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges to select the top 40 candidates and form the Elite 40 Class of 2016. The three entrants who score the highest will be presented for an online public vote to determine the winner, who will then introduce L. Brooks Patterson at his State of the County address on February 10, 2016. The entire Class of 2016 will also be invited to attend the county address. Other opportunities for Elite 40 Under 40 class member includes: local event invitation, award sessions, and roundtable discussions with the county executive.
