On Wednesday, May 4th, the first round of the 2014 Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40 forums kicked off with a morning of networking and round table discussion – and if there’s one thing for certain, it’s that the future of Oakland County is bright.

Elite 40 Under 40 Members (L-R): Chris Barnett, Andrew Raupp, Dominic Mirabella, Tom Berman, Molly Murphy, and Brian Wassom
“There is so much talent in this room,” Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. “And our goal with the Elite 40 program is to keep the best and brightest in Oakland County.”
In attendance for the forum were Elite 40 members Chris Barnett (Supervisor of Orion Township), Tom Berman (Chief Business Development Officer & General Counsel at Reverie), Dominic Mirabella (Field Director/Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual), Molly Muprhy (Art Therapist, Artist at Molly Murphy Landis, ATR), Andrew Raupp (Executive Director of STEM.org & Virtual Education Solutions), and Brian Wassom (Partner at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP).
Elite 40 members were given the opportunity to specifically detail what it is that they do – their passions, goals, and plans for the future – while exchanging contact information and collaboration opportunities with one another. While their experiences and fields of industry greatly differ, they all shared the same sentiment: “I love my job.”
Certainly it is this passion for Oakland County and the state of Michigan, combined with their hard work and dedication to their community, that has led them all to such success at a young age.
This forum was one of four scheduled, which brings together members of the 2014 Elite 40 Under 40 class and Oakland County staff associated with the program. These forums are designed to encourage networking and collaboration efforts between Elite 40 members, Elite 40 Under 40 sponsors, and Oakland County Government.
