Tuesday morning, May 5th, kicked off the first of a series of Oakland County Executive Elite 40 Under 40 Forums. The forums are designed to bring together a few class members at a time with Oakland County officials in a more intimate setting to build friendships and foster collaboration. Oakland County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson, hosted the event and was joined by Oakland County CIO and Deputy County Executive Phil Bertolini, Deputy County Executive Matt Gibb and the Elite 40 Program Coordinator, Kristie Zamora. In attendance from the Elite 40 2015 class were Melody Arabo, Treger Strasberg, and Jessica Thomas.
Last week we celebrated the passion and determination of the business and community leaders we are grateful to have here in Oakland County at the 2015 Elite 40 Awards Ceremony. The event, held on April 16th at Lockhart’s BBQ in Royal Oak, brought together members of the Oakland County Executive Elite 40 Under 40™ class of 2015 and their guests for a night of networking and recognition.
Congratulations to Melody Arabo, Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40 Class of 2015 winner. Melody has had an absolutely amazing year; she is also the recipient of Michigan’s State Teacher of the Year and author of a book titled Diary of a Real Bully. Arabo, a married mother of three children, is a third grade teacher at Keith Elementary School in the Walled Lake Consolidated School District.
