Oakland County’s 2017 Elite 40 Winner: Brooke Wilson Vitale

Congratulations to this year’s Elite 40 Under 40 winner, Brooke Wilson Vitale! Brooke, 29, Owner of Love & Buttercream LLC, was unveiled as the winner on Wednesday, February 8th in front of more than 600 people at the 2017 Oakland County State of the County Address, where she had the honor of introducing County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson.

Patterson praised Vitale, “Brooke is an excellent choice. She is creative, thoughtful, has an incredible business sense and is precisely the kind of young leader we want to keep in Oakland County.”

Born and raised in Oakland County, Brooke graduated from Michigan State University and moved away for to work in Chicago’s restaurant industry. Inspired by her love of baking with her grandmother, Brooke began writing a baking blog as a hobby after hours. Taking a chance on what she calls her “true-calling,” she left a job she loved to pursue her dream of owning her own bakery.

“My husband and I were both born and raised in Oakland County. We decided that when I wanted to start my business and wanted to start our family, Oakland County was the place we wanted to be in.”

Watch or Listen in! 2017 Oakland County State of the County

The 2017 Oakland County State of the County will be held Wednesday, February 8th at 7:00 p.m. at the Auburn Hills Marriott PontiacOakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will be addressing over 600 Oakland County business, community, and political leaders at this invitation-only event. The County Executive will highlight why 2017 will be a big year for Oakland County. From the latest in Emerging Sectors to improvements in public safety, Patterson will outline why Oakland County’s best accomplishments still lie ahead.
