Gourd-geous Fall Finds

Pumpkins, squash and zucchini are seasonal staples that add earthy flavor to everything from soups to baked goods. Consider roasting squash for a tasty side dish, adding diced zucchini to your favorite chili or putting a loaf of pumpkin bread into the oven.

As October continues, watch for an ever-expanding pumpkin selection to find what you can turn into the perfect jack-o’-lantern for your Halloween festivities!

Fall for Fresh Apples

Apples are among the sweetest parts of autumn, and market farmers offer a wide range, from traditional favorites to varieties you can’t find at most grocery stores. From tart and tangy to perfectly sweet, there’s an apple for every taste and recipe. Ask about which ones are right for your needs — market farmers love to share information about the produce they grow. Grab some apples for snacking or baking and savor the fresh-picked goodness of fall!

Leaf It to Us

Salad greens may make the perfect summer lunch, but fresh arugula, spinach and romaine can easily become the foundation for a quick and healthy autumn meal. Just add a thinly sliced apple, a handful of diced pears, some crumbled goat cheese, toasted walnuts, a small roasted beet or a few pumpkin seeds for fall flavor — the market has everything you need to fill your salad bowl.

Dig Up Deliciousness

Root veggies are filling, delicious and the perfect addition to a seasonal stew or roast! Discover what’s been growing underground all summer, including carrots, potatoes and onions.
