All residents of Oakland County have access to public transportation. The Oakland Transit team has been working to connect with each community in the county and to provide resources for the variety of available transit services — from partnering with Oakland County’s Older Adult Services Department and presenting at its Empower Hour town halls to providing resources for community events at local schools and libraries, such as the Low Vision Expo sponsored by Leader Dogs for the Blind.

Connecting with individuals throughout the county allows the Oakland Transit team to answer questions and learn firsthand about user experiences. These events are a great way to provide information on connecting with local transit providers and to encourage residents to incorporate riding transit into their daily lives. The team works to empower people with the information needed to make getting around the county easier and is always open to hearing ideas on how to enhance the transit system.
