Oakland Transit Spring Updates

From a new bus route, interactive transit map and a call for your feedback, let Oakland Transit connect you to your community this Spring! Public transportation is available throughout Oakland County thanks to the combined coverage of Oakland Transit’s five service providers: NOTA, OPC, People’s Express, SMART and WOTA. Learn more about what service provider operates in your area using Oakland Transit’s interactive map.

SMART Service Announcements

Smart announced several changes that will take effect this month. These changes include the addition of Route 350, which will connect Wixom, Walled Lake, a portion of Commerce Township and other commercial destinations with existing routes operating on Grand River. And later this year, the provider will extend service to a new stop at the Walmart store in Commerce Township. For more information about these service changes, which also include route extensions and the discontinuation of Route 796, visit SMART’s website.

Share your Feedback

The Oakland Transit Team is looking for your feedback to grow this season! Share your thoughts in the current Community Survey, which focuses on residents’ awareness of public transportation services and how individuals currently use or would like to use these services in their daily lives. From sharing your awareness of increased transit vehicles on the road to how transit has made an impact on your life or the lives of your friends and family, your feedback makes a difference.

The data gathered from these surveys helps our team work with our contracted transit providers (NOTA, OPC, People’s Express, SMART and WOTA) to improve services for residents across Oakland County. Whether you regularly ride with your local transit provider or simply care about having high-quality public services in your community, your participation in our surveys is appreciated!
