Adaptive Recreation Experience
Enjoy a night of adaptive recreation opportunities, including hands-on activities like archery, curling, golf, wheelchair basketball, yoga and more during the Adaptive Recreation Experience program from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 28 at the UWM Sports Complex, 867 South Blvd in Pontiac. State and local non-profit representatives who provide recreation and support for individuals with disabilities will also be on hand with informational resources.
Food will be available for purchase. All ages and abilities are welcome. This is a free event.

The Great Marshmallow Drop
The Great Marshmallow Drop for individuals with disabilities of all ages will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Worden Park in Royal Oak. During this free event, marshmallows will be dropped from a helicopter. Participants need to collect just one marshmallow to exchange for a prize. No registration is necessary. American Sign Language interpretation will be on site.

Quiet Zone – provides a range of supportive tools, including auditory, visual, and tactile sensory aids. Features such as noise-buffering headphones, weighted mats, padded floors, and floor chairs help attendees regulate their sensory experiences.

- Adaptive Bike Clinic, 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 at Independence Oaks Boathouse. Give a variety of bikes adapted for individuals with disabilities a spin! Cost: Free.
- Adaptive Golf Clinic, 10:30 a.m.-noon and 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 at Cherry Creek Golf Club. Learn to golf with us! All equipment provided. No golf experience necessary and all abilities are welcome. Cost: Free.
