This Fall, the Oakland County Farmers Market Is the Place to Be

Calling all goblins, ghosts, princesses and superheroes! The Oakland County Farmers Market will host Trick or Treat at the Market from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Children are invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes and trick or treat with market vendors. This is a free event!

Though you might come to the Oakland County Farmers Market for Trick or Treat, be sure to keep coming for the bounty of the season. Look for mums, pumpkins and winter squash throughout the fall and browse the variety of autumn-themed artisanal food and crafts, home décor items and other products available for sale.

Farm-fresh produce is healthy, supports local businesses and helps protect the environment. Check out the Michigan Produce Availability Guide to see when fresh produce will be in season.

Availability of produce and products varies daily. If you are looking for a specific fruit, vegetable, plant, decor item, artisan food product or craft, please call the market at 248-858-5495 to confirm that it will be available before your visit.

ArtSail Fine Arts and Crafts Show

The Oakland County Farmers Market will host the ArtSail Fine Arts and Crafts Show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. Shop original jewelry, pottery, glass art, paintings, woodworking, handcrafted soaps, crochet, candles, crafts and much more made by 28 local artists. Also enjoy music from violinist Shawn Boucke and food for purchase from EJA Street Salad.

Gleaners Food Distribution

Families and individuals in need of food are encouraged to attend a drive-up distribution presented by Gleaners Community Food Bank from 9-11 a.m. on Oct. 16.

Distributed items will include milk, fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein and other shelf-stable items. No appointment is needed, and you don’t need to bring identification or proof of eligibility to receive food. Please click here for up-to-date changes and cancellations.
