The Fourth of July is nearly here! All across Oakland County, communities are putting on firework displays in celebration of our country’s Independence Day. Visit Rochester Hills for their Festival of the Hills on June 28 and stay for the fireworks, or celebrate July 4th on the day itself in Huntington Woods. Wherever you decide to go, grab a blanket, pack a picnic basket, and get ready to shout, “OOH” and “AAH” as fireworks light up the sky across Oakland County.

Celebrate without Fireworks
A fireworks-free experience around the Fourth of July is well-received by veterans, families with small children, pet owners, and others. There are plenty of ways to celebrate America’s birthday without fireworks, such as visiting a fireworks-free campground at Groveland Oaks County Park and Campground, Addison Oaks County Park and Campground, select state parks, and more.
