Not only is the Oakland County Art Map a good way to learn more about artists in and around the various communities, it’s also a fun way to find places to explore works of art in the beautiful downtowns, education campuses, and even in buildings throughout the county.

On the interactive story map, created by Oakland County’s award-winning GIS team, you’ll find a list of 15 spots to find publicly accessible art throughout Oakland County that you can explore in the area. The map also includes a virtual stroll through art parks and collections at major Oakland County hot spots like Birmingham Art, Oakland University’s Campus, The Cranbrook Educational Community, and more!

The pieces in this map are not a part of an exhaustive list – try to find all the other hidden gems tucked away in gardens, parks, town squares, and several other community areas.
