Chi-Town Union Station in Commerce Township

Chi-Town Union Station in Commerce Township is home to the world’s largest O-Scale model railroad and the world’s longest model train. With more than 12,000 feet of track and dozens of exact scale models of famous luxury trains, you won’t want to miss seeing this Chicago Union Station based railroad in person.

Admission

Train-enthusiasts of all ages will find fun and enjoyment at Chi-Town Union Station. The layout is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until March 3rd, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The station will reopen in November 2019 for its 15th season.

Adults: $5.00

Visitors to the Chi-Town Union Station will be amazed by the size and detail of the station’s multiple layouts. With a focus on passenger trains, the walk-around exhibit covers almost all of the 10,000+ square foot building, modeling five major railroads that all directly, or with joint operations, served Chicago, the world’s largest and busiest railroad hub in the 1950s and 1960s:
