A new benefit for Oakland County residents is now available! Live Healthy Oakland gives county residents the opportunity to take advantage of discounts on prescription, dental, and health services or procedure costs. The discount program is offered to both individuals and families, with health insurance or without. All Oakland County residents can take advantage of this new program. 

By signing up for one or more of the Live Healthy Oakland discount cards, residents can save an average of 24% on prescription medicine, and between 15 and 50% on the cost of dental and health check-ups. The prescription discount card is free, while the dental and health discount cards are available for a small annual or monthly fee.

The Oakland County Board of Commissioners, in collaboration with the Oakland County Health Division, implemented this program to help residents reduce health care costs and live healthier lives.

“Many Oakland County seniors and families are struggling with the rising cost of prescriptions, health and dental care,” said Oakland County Board Chairman Michael J. Gingell. “The Live Healthy Oakland program holds the potential for valuable savings for many residents at little or no cost. The Board of Commissioners is looking forward to a successful partnership with the Health Division to promote this great new program.”

Kathy Forzley, director of the Oakland County Health and Human Services Department, which includes the Health Division added, “This program is another way that we are working to achieve a community where every person that lives, works, attends school, worships, or plays in Oakland County is a healthy person with better access to medical care.”

Learn more or sign up for the program today at www.oakgov.com/livehealthyoakland. There are no limits placed on use, no forms to fill out, and no waiting periods. In addition, there are no age or income requirements, or medical condition restrictions. Participating pharmacies include but are not limited to: CVS, Rite-Aid, Target, Walgreens, and Walmart. It is important to note that the Live Healthy Oakland discount program is not health insurance.
