The 2016 Oakland County State of the County will be held Wednesday, February 10th at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac at 7p.m. Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will make a major announcement that will impact area businesses, residents, and those who visit the county. He will also focus on how Oakland County is reinvesting for sustainability because of the county’s deep dive into the knowledge-based economy and balanced multi-year budget. Patterson will also unveil the 2016 Elite 40 Class Winner.

Patterson will make his State of the County address available to the widest audience possible. WDET-FM (101.9) will air the speech live. The speech will be live streamed on the county’s website, OakGov.com. It will be uploaded live to the county’s YouTube channel as well. There will be live tweets about speech highlights on the county’s Twitter account, @OakGov. Digital copies of the typewritten speech will be available afterward at OakGov.com and the Executive Office Facebook page. Civic Center TV will carry the speech live as well as distribute it to other local cable channels for re-airing throughout February.

Those listening to the speech are encouraged to use the hashtag #Brooks2016 to join the conversation.
