Service and Sacrifice Honored

Memorial Day

Decoration Day, as it was called from the Civil War until 1967, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America.

The City of Ferndale, host to the oldest, continuously held Memorial Day Parade in Michigan, held their first Memorial Day parade in 1919. This year, they will honor all who have sacrificed during their 97th annual parade on Monday, May 25th at 10 a.m. in Downtown Ferndale.

Please join us honoring in those who served at one of the many events that Oakland County communities have planned for Memorial Day.
