Spring has finally shown up. You can finally see what winter has done to your yard and garden. And if your yard looks like mine, it’s not a pretty sight. But there is hope. On Sunday, May 11th, downtown Royal Oak will be in bloom with the 21st Annual Royal Oak in Bloom open-air market from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the Williams Street parking lot, which is located in front of city hall. With over 70 regional farmers bringing in an impressive array of annuals, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets, vegetables and more, they will have covering for your every gardening interest. In addition to the selection of plants, there will be an abundance of other outdoor items available, including hand-made wind chimes, stepping stones, garden art, statues, bird feeders and even rain barrels. Royal Oak in Bloom is free to the public. For information visit the Royal Oak in Bloom Facebook page Many of the Farmers Markets in Oakland County will have a special day for flowers.
