On Veterans Day, we honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces and protected American citizens in times of war and peace. Many Oakland County cities, villages and townships host events to celebrate these brave people.
Be sure to see the Oakland County Circuit Courthouse at 1200 N. Telegraph Road in Pontiac illuminated in green light from Nov. 4 to 11. The National Association of Counties started Operation Greenlight to honor and support our nation’s veterans.

Oakland County Veterans’ Services has been providing Oakland County veterans and their families with professional veterans benefits advocacy and assistance for more than 60 years. Oakland County Veterans’ Services helps veterans and their families obtain and maintain all veterans-related benefits from federal, state, and local government agencies while making the process as simple as possible. Utilize the expertise of Oakland County’s Veteran Benefits Counselors to navigate the process of completing and submitting applications for veteran benefits to the appropriate agency.
