Indoor Fun in Oakland County

Head over to Palazzo di Bocce in Lake Orion or Whirlyball in Novi for unique sporting experiences, catch a show at Meadow Brook Theatre in Rochester, or play arcade games and laser tag at Safari Playground in Walled Lake.

For an entire day of fun, visit Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills and check out their new Michigan themed play area, catch a movie at AMC Star Great Lakes, visit Sea Life Aquarium and LEGOLAND® Discovery Center, or go bowling and play arcade games, karaoke, billiards, ping-pong, and darts at Round 1 Bowling & Amusement.

Scale New Heights at the TreeRunner West Bloomfield Adventure Park

Are you searching for an adventure unlike any other? Lucky for you, Oakland County is home to one of the best aerial adventure parks in Michigan! TreeRunner West Bloomfield Adventure Park is an exciting location to visit for folks of all ages, boasting over 130 awesome obstacles and zip lines, three difficulty levels, seven different courses, and plenty more to explore. The park is open seven days a week starting June 14th until November 4th, rain or shine.

Get ready to leap into a world of family-friendly automobile events while Cruising Southeastern Michigan. Summer is the perfect time for exciting experiences!

As the birthplace of the automobile industry, Michigan’s car scene is always busy. However, during the summertime, Oakland County becomes the crown jewel of hot rod and historic car events. From the weekly Holly Car Show, to the exciting and annual Woodward Dream Cruise, the county is rumbling with the sound of cars all summer long. Visit shows to learn about iconic cars, or go to cruises to watch the automobiles in action.

Excitement for Everyone at the Oakland County Fair

Excitement soars as the 2017 Oakland County Fair prepares for its grand opening at Springfield Oaks County Park in Davisburg. The fair, which opens July 7th and runs through July 16th, is presented by Oakland County Parks and features a wide range of 4-H events, musical acts, and amusement park thrills.

Wristbands and tickets are available online and at the gate. Tickets grant visitors access to all areas of the fair: from the roller coasters to the racing pigs.

Summer Movies in the Park

Friendship blossoms between two dogs as they find their way back home; a ragtag team of misfits sidesteps authority to save the galaxy; three women combat prejudice and adversity to reach the stars; a group of local animals find their voice.

These hit films, The Secret Life of PetsRogue OneHidden Figures, and Singmake up the 2017 program for Rochester’s annual Movies in the Moonlight. The event, which runs for four consecutive Saturdays, beginning July 15th, is an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy movies that inspire, entertain, and provoke thought in viewers of all ages.

Community movie nights are a summer staple across Oakland County: from Southfield’s Movie Under the Stars at the Municipal Complex to Movie Nights in Milford’s Central Park. With so many movies and community settings to choose from, there’s something great for everyone.
