Young Leaders Sought for Elite 40’s Class of 2018

“Are you a dynamic leader?”

That is the question at the center of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson‘s Elite 40 Under 40 initiative. Now in its seventh year, the program celebrates Oakland County’s “Best and Brightest” young adults between ages 18 and 39. If you know a young person who adds value to the community through their compassion, intellect, or entrepreneurial spirit, don’t keep it a secret!

Nominations can be made at www.Elite40.com between now and noon on October 30th. Candidates may enter themselves until noon on November 3rd. To be eligible, a candidate must live or work in Oakland County and have been born after December 31, 1978.

To kick off the opening of nominations for the Elite 40 class of 2017, past Elite 40 classes gathered together last Tuesday evening at the Skyline Club in Southfield for the very first Elite 40 reunion. As the sun set over Oakland County, class members enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, chatted with one another and took time to reconnect. The atmosphere was jovial and full of excitement as the Elite 40 members mingled and networked with one another. It was plain to see that through this program, new and unexpected partnerships and friendships have formed, and business opportunities have emerged.
