The Woodward Dream Cruise is Driving In!

Get ready to rumble, Oakland County! The world’s largest one-day automotive celebration, The Woodward Dream Cruise, is rolling back into town Saturday, August 18th. Travel along the 16-mile stretch of Woodward Avenue from Pontiac to Ferndale, and cruise through nine Oakland County communities: Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac and Royal Oak.

As the birthplace of the automobile industry, Michigan’s car scene is always busy. However, during the summertime, Oakland County becomes the crown jewel of hot rod and historic car events. From the weekly Holly Car Show, to the exciting and annual Woodward Dream Cruise, the county is rumbling with the sound of cars all summer long. It’s not just a day for barbecues and yard games, although events like those are a nice perk of a long Labor Day weekend.

It’s a day to remember and celebrate the social and economic achievements of American workers. We have all made contributions to America in some capacity, and on this day we celebrate those contributions.
