The annual Oakland County Fair is here! From July 8-17, 2022, people from all across Michigan will be arriving on the fairgrounds at Springfield Oaks County Park in Davisburg, Michigan to celebrate over a week of family-friendly fun. With a few new events, as well as many returning favorites, this year’s fair is surely going to be Oakland County’s hottest July destination spot.

Returning this year to the Oakland County Fair are the following fan-loved attractions:

  • The Big Rock Amusements Carnival, full of games, rides, and food.
  • Multiple barns of animals, daily presentations, and competitions.
  • The Safari Petting Zoo, populated with unique animals.
  • The Daily Pig Race, an exciting way to watch your favorite barnyard animals.
  • The High Dive, featuring springboard and tower diving with a pirate twist.
  • Monster Trucks, Figure 8 Racing, and Off-Road Derby for the motor enthusiasts!

Excitement for Everyone at the Oakland County Fair

Excitement soars as the 2017 Oakland County Fair prepares for its grand opening at Springfield Oaks County Park in Davisburg. The fair, which opens July 7th and runs through July 16th, is presented by Oakland County Parks and features a wide range of 4-H events, musical acts, and amusement park thrills.

Wristbands and tickets are available online and at the gate. Tickets grant visitors access to all areas of the fair: from the roller coasters to the racing pigs.

Lightning Speed: 2016 Quake on the Lake

It’s all about speed. Their light weight allows them to glide across the lake’s surface as if it were glass.

Boats, that race to speeds of up to 105 miles per hour, will roar across Pontiac Lake in Waterford again this year for Oakland County’s 17th annual Quake on the Lake from July 22-24th.

Grand Prix drivers from across the country will race across Pontiac Lake in Inboard Hydroplane boats, competing for a spot in the record books. In fact, Quake on the Lake holds 21 American Power Boat Association (APBA) records for speed in five different racing classes. This recognition makes Quake on the Lake one of the fastest one-mile race courses in the country.

The 2016 Oakland County Fair – Fillies, Fare and Fireworks

Take a ride on the Ferris wheel or roller-coaster, pop over to visit the science tent, visit the goats or ride the ponies. It’s a 4-H dream complete with pig races, a birthing tent and horseback riding.

From July 8-17, Springfield Oaks County Park, located at 12451 Andersonville Rd., Davisburg, Mich. 48350, will transform its sprawling 332-acre space into a carnival, competitions, shows and other 4-H events. The Oakland County Fair will set up shop, providing entertainment and learning opportunities for all ages.

Wristbands are available for purchase online, however guests can also purchase tickets at the gate. Tickets will grant guests access to all parts of the fair, including a visit with the chickens, cows, goats and even tigers!
