Warmer weather means it’s time to enjoy the many outdoor festivals and fairs that showcase the vibrancy of Oakland County. You won’t want to miss SummerFest in Auburn Hills, Arts, Beats, and Eats in Royal Oak, or Milford Memories to name a few.

Milford, Michigan hosted it’s 27th annual Milford Memories Festival the weekend of August 10-12, 2018. Always held the second full weekend in August, thousands of visitors from all over the region flocked to the streets of Downtown Milford for art, food, music, and fun.

The 5th Annual ART FISH FUN Festival is on Saturday, June 9th, from 11am to 4pm in Beaudette Park, located at 786 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan. The festival is a free, public event that provides art, environmental, and educational activities for the entire family.
Over thirty activities are scheduled for the day! Events include a puppet show put on by The Detroit Institute of Arts, fishing with the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash, and using super soakers to learn about soil erosion and storm drains.
Lunch begins at 1pm and lasts until 3pm. The menu includes BBQ ribs, chicken, hamburgers, and more. In addition, a Meadowbrook ice cream truck will arrive at 12:00pm and stay until the end of the festival.

Thousands strolled through town, passing each tent, stopping at some. Browsing portraits painted by local artists and jewelry handcrafted by Oakland County residents, all while taste testing some of the area’s best food from more than 40 local restaurants and caterers.
Rich aromas filled the air as steam rose from the food tents that lined the streets of LaFayette, Main and Washington.
Downtown Royal Oak was booming. The hustle and bustle of the annual Ford Arts, Beats & Eats Festival, presented by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, filled the streets – providing unique fun for all ages, whether you are an art buff, a music lover or a food critic.
During the spring, summer and fall months, local communities come to life at Oakland County Art Fairs, complete with colors, textures and styles unique to those who call Oakland County home.
Lined with white tents, one end to the other, local parks and downtown districts invite artists to showcase their work. Art fairs and craft shows provide a true creative experience from handcrafted goods, intricate jewelry, unique designs and talented musicians.
In the truest definition of community, artists, local businesses and sponsors set up shop. Whether it’s abstract art, blown glass, or a handmade dish, there is passion and creativity behind every creation.
