How to Vote in Oakland County

People can now exercise their rights in a variety of different ways: absentee, early, in-person and same-day registration voting.

Ways to Vote in Michigan

  • Early Voting: Voters are eligible to cast ballots early and in-person at an early voting site prior to Election Day. Before heading out, make sure you know where your early voting site is and its hours of operation.
  • Absentee Voting: Voters can vote by mail using an absentee ballot beginning 40 days before every election.
  • Vote In-Person: Voters can cast their ballots at their polling place on election day until 8 p.m.

Before casting your ballot, take time to review the official candidate and proposal list for your community.
