Oakland County communities offer several household hazardous waste (HHW) programs to provide residents with a safe way to dispose of HHW, such as pesticides, paints, air fresheners, batteries, and cleaning solutions. These can be toxic to humans and the environment when disposed of in regular trash bins.
NoHaz Member Communities
The NoHaz Consortium is a group of Oakland County communities that schedules multiple HHW collection events for residents. Not all Oakland County communities participate in the NoHaz program. There is no countywide household hazardous waste program and many communities have their own programs.
