Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40™ program, now preparing to welcome a sixth class, is once again seeking nominations for the best and brightest in the county. The Elite 40 program, started by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson in 2012, honors exceptional individuals under the age of 40 who excel in their fields and improve the quality of life in Oakland County.
To kick off the opening of nominations for the Elite 40 class of 2017, past Elite 40 classes gathered together last Tuesday evening at the Skyline Club in Southfield for the very first Elite 40 reunion. As the sun set over Oakland County, class members enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, chatted with one another and took time to reconnect. The atmosphere was jovial and full of excitement as the Elite 40 members mingled and networked with one another. It was plain to see that through this program, new and unexpected partnerships and friendships have formed, and business opportunities have emerged.
Yesterday morning, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson invited five members of the 2015 Elite 40 Under 40 to a forum where they could get to know one another in a smaller, more intimate setting. The County Executive holds these forums in effort to build friendships and connections among the Elite 40 and the county’s leadership. The Elite 40 members that attended were: Jayne Harper, Henry Ford – HAP; Steve Miglior, Honigman, Schwartz and Cohn LLP; Moheeb Murray, BSP Law Firm; Kristen Pursley, Dobrusin Law Firm; and Jaymes Vettraino, Rochester College. Also in attendance were Matthew Gibb, Deputy Oakland County Executive; Kristie Everett Zamora, Elite 40 Program Coordinator; and Steve Huber, Marketing & Communications Officer.
This morning, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson chatted with members of the 2015 Elite 40 Under 40, including one from the 2014 class, at the third Elite 40 Forum. The County Executive enjoys hosting smaller groups so the members can get to know one another, and the county as well, on a less formal and more intimate scale. In attendance were: Andrew Chmielewski, Mitten Crate & Dave’s Sweet Tooth; Brandon Curry, Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation; Gregg Garrett, CGS Advisors, LLC; Paul Mersino, Butzel Long; Mike Roth, National Technology Management; and Susan Kruger, Soar Learning, Inc.
