The 2016 Oakland County State of the County will be held Wednesday, February 10th at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac at 7p.m. Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will make a major announcement that will impact area businesses, residents, and those who visit the county. He will also focus on how Oakland County is reinvesting for sustainability because of the county’s deep dive into the knowledge-based economy and balanced multi-year budget. 2015 MI Great Artist winner Kenneth Hershenson.

Kenneth Hershenson of Clawson was chosen as the winner of the 2015 MI Great Artist award competition for his acrylic on canvas art. Largely self-taught, Kenneth Hershenson, 62, has been painting and drawing for nearly 50 years. A favorite piece in the show, “A Pair of Jacks,” was a an idea that came to him almost 30 years ago, which he has worked to perfect through the years. $3 Billion Party

Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson honored 350 Emerging Sector companies responsible for a total investment of $3 billion in the past 11 years on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015. The sky was the limit with business leaders, government officials, and other attendees at the Oakland County International Airport. The companies were celebrated with several corporate jets and vintage cars for touring, along with a vintage 1928 Ford Tri-Motor Airliner on display. Special guest Edsel Ford, the owner of Pentastar Aviation was also in attendance.
