On April 18, independent music stores across the United States and the world, will take part in Record Store Day, a celebration of local music stores that began in 2007, as a way to spread the word about the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores. For U.S. stores to participate, they need to be a brick and mortar store in the community, whose product line is 50% retail music, with 70% ownership in the state of the stores operation. 2014 Michigan High School Football Playoffs
On the evening of October 26, the teams for this year’s Michigan High School Football Championships were made.
There were 229 automatic qualifying teams (by win total) – with the final 27 teams selected by playoff-point average, one from each class in order (A, B, C, D) until the field was filled.
Those 256 11-player teams are then split into eight equal divisions based on the schools enrollment. Two teams from each of the eight divisions will be in the Championship Games at Ford Field on either November 28th or November 29th.

For most people, the 4th of July is nothing without spectacular fireworks illuminating the night sky. A number of Oakland County communities
will be celebrating over the next few weeks.
