Oakland County College Series: Walsh College

Walsh College is a leading, all-business college and one of Michigan’s largest business schools. It offers students educational programs based on business theory and real-world experience with locations in Troy, Novi, Clinton Township and Port Huron. Aimed at boosting career success, classes are taught by faculty made up of business professionals who incorporate their experience into the classroom. Twenty fully accredited, business and information technology degree programs and three business certificate programs are offered.  Continue reading

2015 MI Great Artist winner Kenneth Hershenson.

Kenneth Hershenson of Clawson was chosen as the winner of the 2015 MI Great Artist award competition for his acrylic on canvas art. Largely self-taught, Kenneth Hershenson, 62, has been painting and drawing for nearly 50 years. A favorite piece in the show, “A Pair of Jacks,” was a an idea that came to him almost 30 years ago, which he has worked to perfect through the years. Visitors can see “A Pair of jacks” along with his other wonderful pieces, at the Park West Gallery through January 8, 2016. Continue reading

Nominations for the Oakland County Elite 40 Under 40 Now Open

The deadline for nominations for the Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40 Class of 2016 has been extended until December 4th at 5 p.m. Those nominated have until December 9th at 5 p.m. to complete their entry.

The Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40 Program is now searching for the region’s ‘Best of the Best’ in 2016. Enter now to nominate yourself, or someone else, to the Elite 40 Under 40 program, which celebrates talented young professionals who are shaping Oakland County, and the region.
