Pride Month is dedicated to uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, celebrating LGBTQ+ culture, and supporting LGBTQ+ rights.

Oakland County’s vision is to be a healthy, safe, and thriving place where everyone is valued, quality of life is high and economic opportunity abounds. We’re committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, not only for the LGBTQ+ community, but all the county’s diverse populations.

Throughout the summer, many Oakland County cities, villages, and townships, along with many communities nearby, are hosting Pride events. Use our list below to find a celebration near you!

Affirmations Ferndale

Affirmations LGBTQ+ community center has been the hub for southeast Michigan LGBTQ+ communities and its allies for the last 30 years. They provide a welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities & expressions, and cultures can learn, grow, socialize, and access the vital support they need!

Ruth Ellis Center

The Ruth Ellis Center offers integrated primary health services, behavioral health services, and residential care facilities for insured and uninsured LGBTQ youth and young adults.

Stand with Trans

Stand with Trans provides resources and support for transgender/GNC/gender non-conforming youth and families. Resources include support groups, social events, empowerment workshops, skill-building, community education, and phone support via Ally Moms for transgender youth and parents/caregivers.

Equality Michigan

Equality Michigan is Michigan’s statewide lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) political advocacy organization. Formerly the Triangle Foundation, EQMI has been Michigan’s premiere LGBTQ anti-violence and political advocacy organization for over 25 years and counting.

The LGBT National Help Center services the LGBTQ+ community by offering free and confidential support via peer chat support, a national hotline, a senior hotline and youth chatrooms.
