Brighten Up your Holiday Season with Detroit Zoo’s Wild Lights

Light up the night this holiday season with the Detroit Zoo Wild Lights. This spectacular display of 280 sculptures, trees, and buildings is comprised of more than five million LED lights! Wild Lights illuminates the zoo for 29 nights from November 16th – January 5th.

The Wild Lights pathway takes visitors on a journey through the front half of the zoo and into a few animal exhibits: The Otter Habitat, the Beaver Habitat, and the Reptile House. The Ford Education Center will also be open.

The Rudolph Package, includes one timed admission for Wild Lights and one untimed ticket to the 4-D Theater to see “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer.”  The Winter Rink and Carousel rides will also be available for purchase. The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition in the Ford Education Center, showcasing some of the world’s most spectacular photography, is included with admission.

The lights will illuminate the zoo from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. select weeknights and Sundays. The lights will be extended on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wild Light nights will take place on the following evenings:

November 16-17, 22-24, 29-30

December 1, 6-8, 13-15, 19-23, 26-31

January 2-5

Purchasing advanced tickets is recommended and can be done at the front gate or online. Tickets sold in advance range from $11 – $18, while walk-up tickets for all nights and time slots are $19. Parking is $8 per vehicle. Children younger than two can enter for free.
