Train enthusiasts will be amazed by the layout’s attention to detail and artistry; small communities and mid-sized cityscapes sit among the rivers, valleys, and gently rolling hills. “The final,” as its members affectionately call the setup, may be miniature, but its scope and history are life-sized. Over four decades in the making, it features 1,000 pieces of rolling stock that chug along the hand-made track in a Michigan-inspired landscape.

People gaze upon a miniature depiction of a mountainside highway and railroad town.
