As planned, Oakland County residents had a winter blast at the 2015 Fire & Ice Festival last weekend in Rochester, Michigan. Oakland County Parks and Recreation and Downtown Rochester did a fantastic job at the three-day event and offered all kinds of winter activities for families to enjoy.
Folks were entertained with snow tubing, ice skating, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, ice sculpting demonstrations, face painting, carriage rides, marshmallow roasting and more!
Families and friends gathered downtown in the evening and had a merry time shopping, dining and of course, taking in the brilliant lights at The Big, Bright Light Show.
The fireworks shows on Friday and Saturday night were most impressive and could be seen and heard from afar.
We could go on and on about all of the winter fun was had, but we thought you could check out our slideshow and see for yourself.
We’re so excited to live in an area where you can find fun things, like the Fire & Ice Festival, to do in the winter. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.
Many thanks to all of the volunteers that came out to make this event such a huge success. It couldn’t have been done without you!
