Fall is right around the corner, and our Medical Main Street team is keeping busy with preparations for INNOVENTION 2014: A Medical Main Street Conference!

It’s not too late to submit your nominations for the 2014 INNO-VATOR of the Year award, which recognizes creators of a medical device that demonstrate the most dramatic change in the health care industry in Michigan. This is your chance to help us highlight the innovative changes going on right in our own backyard – but don’t delay! Nominations are due this Friday, September 5th.

To be considered for the award, the device must have been developed in Michigan, achieved prototype development and validation, and incorporate a game-changing innovation.

INNOVENTION 2014 will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan, October 21st – 22nd. The conference, with the Medical Main Street Network, builds valuable relationships and productive collaborations in the Southeast Michigan region and globally.

Medical Main Street, powered by Oakland County, was created in 2008 by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson along with the area’s leaders in health care, research and development, education and industry. Medical Main Street is a collaboration of world renowned hospitals, universities, healthcare and life science companies in Southeast Michigan, all working together to make our region a global center of innovation in medical research and development, education and commercialization.
